Editorial Guidelines

These guidelines control all content published on casinovultures.com. Every writer, reviewer, and editor working with Casino Vultures should read, understand, and follow them without exception.

1. Our Editorial Mission

Casino Vultures is a platform whose purpose is to provide players with honest, accurate, and quality information on online casinos. Our content essentially helps players make informed decisions. Editorial integrity is of importance to us. No affiliate relationship, advertiser, or casino operator determines what we write, how we rate, or what we recommend.

2. Core Editorial Principles

Accuracy; every factual claim has to be verified. Bonus amounts, wagering requirements, licensing details, and legal information are all confirmed directly from primary sources before publication. We do not rely on second-hand information or assumptions.

Honesty; if a casino has downsides, we mention this clearly. Pros and cons must indicate genuine player experience. A review that only shows the positives is not a review; it’s more of an ad.

Independence; Our exclusive commercial relationships do not affect ratings, rankings, or editorial tone. A casino that pays higher affiliate commission won’t necessarily receive a higher rating. A casino with smaller commission is reviewed with the same standards as one that does.

Clarity– We write in plain English and avoid jargon as much as possible.  We also explain technical terms such as wagering requirements, RTP, volatility, KYC especially for beginner readers. Our readers vary between first-time players to experienced gamblers and content is designed to cater for both audiences.

Responsibility– Gambling carries its own risk. Our content doesn’t idolize gambling, promote irresponsible behaviour, or dismiss the potential for harm. Responsible gambling information is incorporated wherever relevant.

3. Who We Write For

Our main audience is adult players aged 18 and over who are constantly in search for online casinos. This type of audience is looking for simple and trustworthy guidance; not marketing copy disguised as editorial. Our secondary audiences include players looking for info on gambling laws, bonus mechanics, game strategy, and extra responsible gambling resources.

Our content is never directed at or meant to appeal to minors. Language, imagery references, and framing should always be appropriate for an adult audience engaging with a regulated pursuit.

4. Content Types and Standards

Casino Reviews

Casino reviews are the major content unit on Casino Vultures. Every review must abide by the standard review template and cover the following without exception:

  • Licensing and regulatory standing
  • Welcome bonus and full terms analysis
  • Game library- breadth, provider quality, category coverage
  • Payment methods- deposit and withdrawal options, processing times, limits
  • Mobile experience- app and browser performance
  • Customer support- channels, availability, quality
  • Responsible gambling tools
  • Pros and cons
  • Overall verdict with a number rating
  • Information/comparison table

Ratings should be assigned according to the full review. A casino cannot be rewarded with a high overall rating if it performs poorly in crucial areas such as licensing or withdrawal reliability. All ratings must be warranted within the review text.

Reviews should also be updated when material information gets changes. For example; a new licence, revised bonus terms, withdrawal policy changes, or a huge shift in player feedback. Outdated reviews that are no longer an indication of a casino’s current status should be updated

Bonus and Promotion Content

Bonus content should always showcase the full picture. The headline figure shouldn’t appear without the key terms like wagering requirement, minimum deposit, time limit, game contributions, and max cash out cap and must be clearly stated in close proximity. Terms must be procured directly from the casino operator and verified at the time of publishing.

Informational and Guide Content

Any guides covering gambling laws, game rules, strategy, and responsible gambling must be accurate, up to date, and written in a simple and plain language. Legal content specifically must reflect the current regulatory landscape in the relevant jurisdiction and should be reviewed whenever significant legislative modifications occur. We do not provide legal advice and all content is depicted as informational only.

News Content

News content must be factual, sourced, and clearly separated from opinions of the writer. Claims must be credited to named sources in instances where it’s possible. Speculation should be clearly labelled as such. News content that later comes out as inaccurate must be rectified in a timely manner with a visible correction notice.

5. SEO Standards

Content is ideally for readers’ first and search engines second. Keyword stuffing, unnatural phrasing, and content written exclusively for ranking purposes rather than reader value is not acceptable.

Any primary and secondary keywords must be researched before the process of writing begins. And it is integrated naturally into headings, subheadings, introductory paragraphs, and body content. Meta titles and meta descriptions should be written for every page and represent the content accurately. Internal linking must be intentional; linking to relevant child pages, related guides, and casino reviews where genuinely important to the reader.

6. Fact-Checking and Sourcing

All factual claims need a verifiable source. For casino reviews, primary sources typically include the casino’s own website, licensing authority registers, and independent laboratory certifications. For legal content, original sources are often official government and regulatory authority publications. For statistics and data, sources should be named and linked whenever possible.

Writers take full responsibility for fact-checking their own work before submitting for publishing. Editors conduct a secondary check before publication. If a claim cannot be verified, it is withdrawn.

7. Affiliate Disclosure

Every page on Casino Vultures that contains affiliate links should have a clear indication, or prominent disclosure declaring that we may earn a commission when readers click through and register or deposit at a listed casino.

The disclosure should be written in plain language. Readers must comprehend what an affiliate relationship is and that it does not affect our editorial ratings or recommendations.

8. Responsible Gambling Standards

Every casino review must include a responsible gambling section detailing the tools present at that casino. Informational content on games and bonuses must not portray gambling as a reliable income source, or an approach to solve financial problems, or a pursuit without risk.

The following statements must never appear in Casino Vultures content:

  • Any suggestion that gambling is a skill that guarantees consistent returns
  • Any depiction of chasing losses as a viable strategy
  • Any language that reduces the house edge held by the casino
  • Any content that could attract or be accessed by minors

A responsible gambling disclaimer must appear at the foot of every page.

9. Legal and Compliance

Content on gambling laws must precisely reflect the legal position in the relevant jurisdiction at the time of publication. Legal content should be reviewed and updated following any major regulatory alterations.

Content must not be published that essentially targets players in certain jurisdictions where online gambling is entirely illegal. Any geo-specific pages must reflect the laws and regulatory ecosystem of the relevant market accurately.

10. Corrections Policy

Errors must be corrected on time and transparently. When a factual error is recognized; whether by a writer, editor, reader, or operator, it should be corrected fast. Significant corrections convey a visible notice at the top of the relevant page stating that the content has been updated. However, minor typographical corrections do not require a notice.

We do not delete or silently alter content to remove errors without any acknowledgement. Transparency in rectifications is part of our commitment to editorial integrity.

11. Review and Update Schedule

Content TypeReview Frequency
Casino ReviewsEvery 6 months if there’s material change
Bonus PagesMonthly when bonus terms change often
Legal and Regulatory ContentIf there’s any significant legislative change
Informational GuidesYearly or when there’s any industry change

Writers and editors are exclusively responsible for identifying content that may require early review outside of the standard schedule; for example, when a casino changes ownership, loses a licence, or receives a notable volume of negative player feedback.

12. Publishing Checklist

Before content is published, the following must be confirmed:

  • All factual claims should be verified from original sources
  • Bonus terms taken directly from the operator and current at time of publication
  • Affiliate disclosure clearly stated
  • Responsible gambling disclaimer added
  • SEO – H1,H2, meta title, and meta description included
  • Internal links checked and active
  • Tone and voice in line with Casino Vultures guidelines
  • Legal content checked for accuracy in the relevant jurisdiction
  • No content that appeals to minors

These guidelines are reviewed on a yearly basis, and only updated when crucial changes to our editorial standards require it. Any queries should be sent to the editorial team at editorial@casinovultures.com.
